Two college students of Audu Bako Faculty of Agriculture, Makoda, on Wednesday, drowned in Thomas Dam in Kano State whereas trying to cross the dam in a ship.

The Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fireplace Service, Saminu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident in an announcement on Wednesday.

He stated the victims have been recognized as Abubakar Sanusi, 22, and Salisu Ado, 21.

Their third colleague,  Ibrahim, 21, was rescued alive and is at present receiving medical consideration at Dambatta Basic Hospital, the PRO stated.

He defined that  Sanusi and Salisu have been rescued unconscious and later succumbed to their accidents.

The PRO emphasised that the service had commenced investigation into the reason for the incident.
